So, you want to make a living doing art. Well, you have many options for your art career. There are artists who make their living as a fine-artist selling work in galleries, online, and in print stores. There are art teachers. There are those that teach but instead of teaching in school, create books and videos, or give private instruction.

About Art Careers:

There are artists working in different fields such as concept design, comic book art, freelance illustration, and so on as well.

The great thing about technology is that now you can make money online as well either through selling work online (like Ebay, a merchant site, or your own site), or giving a service online like drawing lessons.

Getting started is probably the hardest thing. You need to build up your skill, get a good portfolio together, and start interacting with people either online or in person. When you first start up, it's best to have something to fall back on in case what you are pursuing doesn't work out. We all do different types of art and whether or not your art is widely accepted is hard to predict.

So, what I'm going to do is research some possible art careers for you and give you some direction. I will post a new article whenever I can, so keep checking back. It may take some time because it does take a bit of research on my part, but don't worry, there will be plenty of info here when all is said and done.
