Let's talk about online art degrees. Are they worth your time? Are they better than going to an art school in person? Well, it really depends on what you want.

There are advantages and disadvantages to getting a degree online. The most obvious advantage is being able to stay home therby saving time and expenses. However, one advantage is that you lost the interaction of being in a real class. When I was in school, it was fun to be able and walk around and see what other students were up to. Plus, it was handy to have the professor nearby in case I needed help.

If you were not planning on attending a school in person, then you would not have missed the interaction anyway, so it is a moot point. When browsing online, I have found some sample videos from schools, and they are just as good as being there in person. In fact they have one distinct advantage. You can watch them as many times as you like whenever you like.

I enjoy watching high quality videos that I've bought from online stores, and some of the sample videos that I've seen from schools are just as good.

Some other advantages are travel and freedom. You don't have to drive anywhere or carry your art in the rain, and you get to work your own hours. However, since you are working from home, you will need a space to work. One advantage of going to a school in person is that you can make use of their equipment and studio space. At home, you have to make do with the space you have.

Bottom Line: Online Art Degrees can be a good way to go if you don't like to travel or are unable to. As a cheaper alternative, you could consider my Masters Course. I teach everything you need to know to do great art.
